She is a mother of 45 (5 of her own and her 40 students), a strong and loyal wife, a joyful and caring teacher, a prayer warrior, and a friend to me. Her name is Esther. You could also call her Gogo, Teacha, or Mrs. Sihlongonyane; I stay away from the last option- it's way too hard to say! When I met Esther last semester, I knew she was going to become very special to me. She welcomed me into her classroom with open arms and was delighted to have my help. She has been teaching for over 30 years and is still as energetic and youthful as can be. I miss her when I am not with her. Esther is truly living through the power of the Holy Spirit, showing God's glory in her laughter and sharing the joy of Jesus to her children every single day. I cannot get enough of her. I only wish you could all meet her and experience her joy the way I have. It has been my pleasure to serve and encourage her so far and I look forw
ard to all the time I still have to spend with her. I would love for you to lift Esther up in prayer. Pray for strength, for her husband to come to know the Lord, for her children, her grandchildren, and that the joy of the Lord will continue to fill her up each day as she teaches and pours herself out on those precious children.
At the top is a picture of sweet Esther and I before school one day. The one to the right is my class on Valentine's Day showing off the sweets they got from me!
