We walk down the dirt road with our ipods and running shoes. The children come up over the hill running and screaming with excitement. We laugh and play with them for a few minutes and then say "bye, bye" as we press play and begin our run. As we look back we see them running full speed to catch up with us. They are all barefoot. But they are all happy as can be for the 30 minutes they are with us. Some of them make it the entire run; others have to stop to rest, but when we say "Gijima! Gijima!" ("run! run!") they laugh and keep going. We thought they would only go around one block with us, or only come for one day. They have come with us almost every single day for about 3 weeks. They are the best running partners I've ever had. It's in the moments that I'm holding one of their hands while running and looking at the beautiful Swaziland sunset that I know this is exactly where I was meant to be. It's in these moments that I get sad for the end. And it's in these moments that I truly feel the joy of the Lord in my heart for bringing me here and the company of these precious children.
