So much happened this week and it was just full of awesome moments. I continued going to Atteridgeville and I'm definitely feeling more connected to the place and the people. My heart is growing for the street kids and some amazing women we met this week. Normally, I go through each day but this time I really just want to tell you about Francina. We met her on Monday and scheduled to meet with her the following day at her house. Stacie, Ashley, Katie and I went to her house with cookies ready to do whatever the Lord had for us. We helped her plant some grass in her yard and she showed us the various things she has planted in her tiny "yard". Her friend Julia came to her house while we were there and we visited with her and her 3 young boys. Ultimately, our prayer was the we would just have a sweet time of fun and good conversation with her and that God would use us to meet Francina's needs. It's obvious that she is eager to learn more about Jesus and the Word but we didn't want to make that our only purpose. The Lord showed up and I had the best time just visiting with these awesome women. We talked about culture, relationships, holidays, children, food etc. The following day we helped her carry buckets of water up the steep and rocky mountain to her house. It took 4 of us to carry 2 buckets and normally she carries 2 by herself! It was a ridiculous site to say the least. She bought us a coke for helping her and we had another couple of hours of good conversation and reading some verses in the Bible that we gave her. She has the sweetest, most genuine spirit and I love being with her. Keep Francina in your prayers. She is seeking and I know that the Lord is going to bring her closer to His heart and hopefully use us (as weak and broken as we all are) to speak Truth into her life. Pray for Atteridgeville and the precious street kids we play with everyday. Their situations are so sad but God is a protector and His hand is over each of their lives. Pray for them to grow up in the full knowledge of who He is. Love you all!

P.S. I want to be an African woman because they are strong and beautiful. They wrap their heads in colorful scarves. They carry babies on their backs. They can carry things on their heads and 2 buckets of water at the same time. They hand wash all laundry and get it more clean than our washing machines do. They are fascinating and I wish I could be half of what these women are.
