Yesterday was a hard day
because I said goodbye to all of my first graders. They have a break for one month. I have grown to love those children so much, and it breaks my heart
to know that my time with them is over. Of course we had a party for the last day! They each received a picture of them with
Ms.Thandeka. Most of them have never seen a picture of themselves, much less
have their very own copy. I wish everyone could have been there to see their
faces when that picture was put in their little hands. We also had cookies and
sweets which they went crazy over! These children have meant so much to me.  I
will never forget the way Gugu always had me brush her hair in the morning (the
little that she has!), Lakhiwe filled up my water bottle everyday,
Nomcebo and Gcebile always shared their beans at lunch, and Nkosingiphile never
stopped smiling. I will never stop cherishing these wonderful memories and
their sweet faces.
